A large welcome to everyone a part of the ‘Better Than…’ team. I am very excited to have been a part of the progression of our program in the last three seasons. Our efforts have transformed our campaign into a truly unique and one-of-a-kind program. Key West ‘05 was a large turning point for the program, as all of our previous hard work paid off. Additionally, it marked the commencement of my new position as helmsman. I wanted to thank everyone for their patience and help while we work to rebuild into an even better and stronger program than before. It is with extreme excitement that I look forward to Key West Race Week ‘06. A fleet of fifteen Swan 45’s is an unprecedented turnout for a regatta in the US, and promises to offer intense and challenging racing. I can’t wait! Finally, special thanks to my parents, Andrzej and Gosia, for giving me and others the opportunity to sail in such a demanding and challenging class. To Jahoo, thank you for introducing me to the sport and for keeping the boat in such pristine condition. To Chris Z, thank you for your relentless guidance, both on and off the water. You are all a constant inspiration and motivation to me. Let’s keep moving forward!
